I wrote a weekly newsletter in 2025; it wasn’t about doing more, but about seeing more clearly. Seeing:
- where tolerance has crept in
- where effort has replaced structure
- where busy is masking critical fragilities
- And where, you, the Company Owner have become the system in your business
I wanted to create a space for honesty and to provide more clarity. Once something is seen clearly, it stops draining energy silently. If you have ever felt that you’ve outgrown the way you’re running your business, it does change what’s acceptable going forward.
Why January Matters More Than Usual
January doesn’t need grand plans. It needs filters. Most businesses don’t struggle because of a lack of ideas; they struggle because everything feels important.
The work ahead isn’t about ambition first. It’s about deciding:
- what actually matters
- what genuinely moves the business forward
- and what no longer deserves time, attention, or tolerance
Get that right, and the rest of the year becomes lighter.
A Useful Question to Hold
Before work fully resumes, try asking, if I could only do three things well this year, what would they be? These are not goals or tasks. They are decisions. The answers will reveal where structure is missing and where it would help most.
